What is Konkokyo?
Konkokyo was established in 1859 by Konko Daijin(his former name is Akazawa Bunji 1814~1883) who is a farmer in west Japan. He wished to retrieve the lost fortune of his family, so worked harder than others to get prosperity of finances more and more. But on the other hand, he lost many lives of his sons and daughters one after another. After all he fell severely ill, and he had a revelation that his life came from the Greatest Life of the Universe, named Tenchi-kaneno-Kami, and had been brought up by Kami. Then he apologized to Kami for his complete ignorance of Kami's caress. Soon there brought the peaceful coexistence between Kami and he, at the same time he could be saved from death. After this revelation, he devoted himself to save others by relating a person to Kami. His practice of saving anyone (called Toritsugi) has been succeeded to by persons who have been saved.
Leading one's daily life according to Kami's wish, one can get blessed life. Because whatever may happen, one can be kept in Kami's care.
How does one live according to Kami's wish? One thanks for all benefits that make one live one's life. For example one must trouble without gravity, but no one gives thanks to it till now. One who steals an egg will steal an ox. So far as one is human, it is a matter of course that one fails to notice against one's effort.
The more one improves self, the more one can notice much support that is underserved. Everything around one is expecting one to grow up, even though it looks like a severe adversary. Believing in Kami, one always understands Kami is on one's side. So one keeps one's mind easy.
Because it is essential for life to replace corrupt matters to fresh one, one needs to keep good relations with others. If one has too unbalanced meals, one can't grow up without problem. It is certain that living with thanks and in hopes of growing brings one a happy life.
Konko Daijin even now proves himself a true saver who teaches one how to live in peace.
I'll be most happy for you to join our movement at will. Thank you.
